Pitches in the Windies are so spin friendly that their domestic 4 day comp awards points for every wicket your side takes with a seamer, so not sure we can read too much into it.

Severely underwhelming batting display again, I know I'm being dramatic but doesn't bode well for the future really, the big guns in the lions squad aren't firing, livingstone especially struggling this tour. How come he's bowled so much too, 16 overs as a part timer compared to 3 overs of Crane, seems a strange move by the captain

I was under the impression (correct me if I'm wrong) that Livingstone has the potential to be more than a part time bowler, he mixes offies with leggies I think.

Perhaps they view him as more of a Moeen type player.

Yeh I'd read that livingstone was initially more of a bower before his batting and improved vastly, still seems strange crane only having 3 overs so far, correct though maybe he isn't actually that good. We've had a few promising leggies recently who have faded away a bit, Beer and Waller to name 2

No one I can see has really got runs on the lions tour, we seem to be playing on pitches like 1980 s Indian tracks which go square on day 1.

Apart from Livingstone, I'm not sure who would be next in line for a call up. Hameed and Jennings I suppose

If Livingstone doesn't make the tour of New Zealand then I'd probably go for Hameed. For me Jennings looked too static at the crease and his feet just seemed to be concrete. I do hope he has improved his game but I haven't seen much of him since he got dropped from the test side.
