Got Myself a Masuri...
« on: January 27, 2018, 09:07:37 PM »

On Wednesday, i returned to Romida to get a refund on my spikes, and naturally ended up walking out with a new helmet instead!

Ever since i started playing 2 years ago, i've been using a Alastair Cook style Gray-Nics helmet, so i decided this time i'd go for a Masuri lid (can't remember which model he said it was, but it was around £80)

I used it the next night at uni training and i honestly don't think i've ever had a better net batting wise in my life! I was picking the ball up really early, seemed to be able to focus on the ball a lot easier and pretty much anything i attacked seemed to cannon off the middle of the bat.

Having read a few reviews of Masuri's, am i the only one who's experienced this? Pretty much everything i seem to read says that the vision is reduced and it takes weeks to get used to!

I also had the same experience. I wear glasses and helmet always caused me issues. I was very reluctant to use any helmet when I batted but last year I bought a Masuri Steel helmet after hearing so many good things about them on this forum. I would never go back to any other brand of helmets again. I feel very comfortable and see ball better.
