Knocking in damage?

Recently bought a new bat from Kookaburra - good model.
Applied 2 coats of oil, let it soak in and gently started knocking it in.
I've done about 2 hours up the outside edge, the toe and recently moved on to the left edge. After about 20mins I've noticed a small paper thin crack down the edge of the bat on the inside edge about 5cm long.
I must admit I've caught the edge on a slight angle more than 45deg but I've definitely not hit it at a right angle.
There are no other cracks anywhere else, should I just sand it & carry on or let it rest for a bit?

letting it rest won't make any difference .. dribble a bit of superglue into/onto crack and let it dry for a day or so. Then sand and carry on.

A photo might help here, not sure exactly where the crack is? Either nothing to be worried about at all, or possible take the bat back territory.

The crack is tiny, read lots of bat care websites stating it's nothing to worry about, some saying it's a good thing as the grains are opening up.
I tried to upload a picture, it's minuscule the crack to be honest. I'll try and upload another one.
Left the bat alone for an hour and came back and it was barely visible.
Going to glue it tomorrow and sand it down should be fine

Is it on the face of the bat? If so, definitely nothing to worry about and a little glue and sanding will do the job.

Won't let me upload the photo.
Yeah it's on the face about 2 cm from the edge.
Can only see it in the right light so suppose it's not a biggie, just never cracked a bat knocking in before so curious what the best option was!

Wouldn't worry too much at the moment, it's going to crack once you start using it isn't it so don't worry. But best to be safe anyway and a little glue won't do any harm

I get the people that collect but ... having seen that some pros have about 6 bats on tour... and that's how they make their living, it does make me chuckle at those on here with 6+ bats...

I said chuckle  :D If you earned your money then you can do what you want with it... if it makes you happy then so be it!!!  :) :) :) :)

Well I spent plenty of time only because I don't usually spend too much on a bat but treated myself to a pretty pricey one this time, thought I'd be extra cautious.

It's taken ages though to be fair, still getting seem indentations on the face when I press it on and I've been at it for 3 hours now. Hoping to get into the nets next week and have a crack.

Yep, bowling machine on 60mph half volleys is a lot more fun than hours of mallet for doing the middle!

To be honest that’s more than I tend to do 30mins on the toe and than either use for slip catching for a few weeks or just take straight to nets against the bola

you may have pushed the willow down the edge splitting it slightly. edge tape then scuff. Aldred did a video on this.
