EM are good too. I like how they are cotton as opposed to Wool (Horizon/1000 Miles).

This time of year in Northern England you need wool socks.  Wool everything if possible.

I just wear some white cushioned running socks. Usually under armour ones, but there are loads out there.

My view is that with the improvements in cricket shoes the necessity for some super thick padded socks has fallen away.

Also I don't really bowl these days so don't need the extra padding

Bridgedale walking socks, miles and miles better than anything else I've tried. Can be a bit of a pain finding a thinnish model in a suitable colour, but well worth it. Unfortunately not cheap or I'd have loads of them!

I wear red or black football socks. I was brought up never to wear white socks. You don't see them anyway.

This has got to be a banning offence, surely?

Coloured socks? Heresy! Even just grey should warrant a light beating.

I've been reading up about the Trusox that those football chaps swear by. The theory behind them looks fairly sound, but they're about 30 quid a pair. Same with Nikegrips.

Never found a better pair, and I've paid for Horizon etc in the past. Can't be beaten on value.

I realised that Falke socks are comfy and last for ages so I 'splashed out' and bought a few white sports ones just for cricket.

During the second wash something must have gotten in which shouldn't of. Now they're a fetching shade of pink.

They're still super comfy but now they'll last even longer because I hardly ever dare to ware them.

Ive gone against padded socks these days as my shoes are well cushioned . Lightness and comfort take priority . I have started using Injinji toe socks( mini crew /lightweight version) . Everyone knocks them but i find they help to splay the toes better so allow for a bit more stability.  They are also the most comfy socks ive ever worn . Can't knock them til you try them !
