Sat at home waiting for the footie to start?
Feels Weird being home on a Saturday at this time

We had an 11.30 start, 30overs each
We got them out for 96, they only had nine men, I got one for 6 I think off 4 overs
Not out batting, we knocked em off only losing one wicket, I didn’t look to see what I got

Clear at the top, job done

Cmon England

Fantastic win for us today.

We started at 11.30 and lost the toss. The oppo unsurprisingly decided to bat first, making 279-8 off their 45 overs. We then had to go out for 6 overs before a long break for the football!

We watched England win and had some lovely ploughman's teas, then went back out after a nearly 2 hour interval.

One of our openers made a good 80 odd, with our number three making 60 odd. Our number 5 made a quickfire 81* to take the game away from the opposition and we won by 5 wickets with 1.2 overs to spare.

I'm currently being sick from sun stroke and or dehydration, but I'd go through it all again willingly to relive that day. England won the football, we won a tight chase and the team spirit was simply superb.

I love cricket

Quite a few cancelled games appearing and a few declarations including one literally without facing a ball.. lots of teams with 7/8/9 men .. shame to devalue one league game but happens.

We lost sadly but more down to playing badly than the football or oppos. Meh

Our captain opened the batting. He was out for 9 in the 23rd over. 1 run was a leg bye not given by the umpire. 4 more was off of the toe which trickled last the keeper for 4. No wonder we lost as we didn’t score enough runs. Totally tragic.

We played a sub strength side in an early start and had a bizarre situation where one of their umpires walked off at 3pm (we had maybe 8 or 9 overs still to bowl and they were 9 down), and they only had kids to replace him - one of whom had been removed from the standing umpires end earlier for turning down a stone cold LBW on the basis that it was going down leg, when the guy shaped to run it to third man off middle and off!

Then proceeded to stand in the clubhouse for two hours and watch 10% of the football as there were too many people in to get anywhere near the screen..

Decent result though, we bowled them out for 149 and knocked them off 3 down. I had a decent game, getting 3-25 then opening and being 59* with 15 runs still to get, only to get bowled by a grubber that I think actually rolled along the pitch!! Cost me a double haul of extra fantasy points for 60 runs and the not out :(

All true I’m afraid. Anything outside off he just left, everything else was a forward defensive. It was like watching paint dry. Put real pressure on the rest of us. If you are struggling that much you would think you would just go for a real yahoo.

No games moved for the football over in west London so missed that and went down to a tense 2 wicket loss against our north London rivals. So  a fairly bleak situation as we are now firmly at the bottom of the table and facing relegation as we are so far behind.

So pretty unenjoyable cricket so far this year but ultimately if you push yourself to play a level beyond your ability you are likely to come a cropper at some point.

Head down and we will keep battling away  :)

Our game went ahead yesterday and what a day we had !!! Can't really put it into words having been set the league record for runs scored to then knock it off from the final ball, the pitch was a belter, managed to carry my bat as well

Normal start for us and we were put into bat so the oppo could watch the football. Things were going well until 54-2 became 60-5. Then 97-6 before we collapsed to 110 all out. Some good performances from our young bowling attack who bowled tight lines but we were never in the game as they knocked them off one down.
