he did well when he played, i think he has a knack of getting wickets and would fit into our side much better than broad does at the minute,

he certainly wouldn't have been dropped if he was fit for the ashes

Agree, TRJ would have been a first choice pick for me. A whole season out though... Gonna be tough to get back from that..especially given that he doesn't have any superstar qualities. If he was express I'm sure he'd get fast tracked back in, but as his pace, even though his record is good, I bet they don't pay as much attention

What about Rory Burns?

He has an absolutely rascal moustache thing going on, but do guys think that’s his elevation to Surrey captain will help a push for a test call up?

Several consecutive seasons of 1000+ runs have been overlooked, too many 70s and not enough “daddy hundreds”?

When was the last time you saw Meaker play for England? What's Ansari up to nowadays?

All have been selected for England in the last decade, (say it quietly, but a few of whom clearly were never good enough )so to say they hate Surrey is nonsense.

Given they persisted with Dernbach for so long, plus selected Batty on the eve of his 150th birthday would say to me they even have a Surrey bias!

But that's too rational for a bitter Surrey fan  ;)
