GJ - I'd assume because Steyn's showing major promise with the bat, Harris is Chris Tavare reincarnated, just without the attacking ability, and Parnell is seen as a proper all-rounder, in the 2008 U19 world cup he scored big runs apparently! But I agree, far too good to be a number 11. And yeah, spare a thought for Amla, that was 21 hours of pure win, 484 runs from over 1000 balls, that's roughly how SA did in their Innings in the first test...

Want to see how Amla will do in the ODI's as Smith's replacement.. I don't think I have ever watched him play in an ODI..

He bats with a calm head and doesn't take any risk, reminds me alot of Dravid.. Amazing series for him..

Yeah, he's a good ODI player as well. A lad who went to the same clinic as me plays for the Dolphins in SA with him, and he rates him a lot. SA's next Kallis with the bat I think, but a better player of spin!

On a side note, surely this a wake up call for the BCCI?

I mean the Coliseum that is Eden Gardens, was rolling for the whole Test match. The atmosphere at Eden Gardens cannot be matched by any other ground in the world.

BCCI has to keep Test cricket in only the major grounds in India like, Eden Gardens (Kolkota), Wankhede (Mumbai), The Kotla (Delhi), Chepauk (Chennai), Green Park (Kanpur), M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bangalore) and Sardar Patel Stadium (Ahmedabad). The capacity's of these grounds are huge, between 40,000-90,000 and are nearly all ways sold out.

Grounds such as Nagpur and Mohali look good, but are miles out of town and are never sell outs, like the other grounds I've mentioned.

Tell me one thing, which overseas player wants to play in an empty stadium in Nagpur or Mohali, instead of a packed house in Eden Gardens?
