I’m in Oxfordshire and I googled steel supplies to get a few bits cut up to length, and the place I went to, was in the middle of nowhere, he charged me naff all for the steel, and said he’d knock a press up no bother, if I drew it up.
Most engineers in these shops are bored witless with long runs etc, so a bit of variety like this will go down well
It’s only a basic framework, use a bottle jack or something for the pressing bit
I used a winch roller off eBay, 2 for 25quid, rated for 3.5 tonne
Stick an old lathe bed under it
Etc etc etc

Some of the old mangles are perfect too, there’s leather shoe presses, but they fetch a bit more on eBay

I’m sorry if I made it sound that way,,,im an engineer by trade
Google and you tube through all the different ones, and you’ll see they are very simple.
A local engineering shop will knock one up no bother,, I suppose it will depend on how industrial you want it etc

i think we chatted for well over an hour ... you are welcome to pop in any time you are round my way.

Match was great ... had everything ... goals, sending off, missed penalty and a victory for Sunderland.
