With only stone making his debut in the series it’s got me thinking...

How many players have Northants produced for England in the last few years seems to be a fair few,

Willey
Stone
Duckett

I’m sure there’s more too

Finn and Anderson?

Forgot about them,

Be interested to see jimmys kit for the tests and Finns next season! Wouldn’t be overly surprised to see them with someone else

Seems like a good stick too, that lost ball he faced nearly went for 6, barely hit it and it was a very full ball

I just watched Morgan's interview after the game.  Did Morgan lose a lot of weight?  He looks fitter.

Not looking good for SL cricket if your former selector is being investigated for corruption and hiding information

Swann?

Panesar?

Jack Brooks never quite made it, or Richard Gleeson, but both have been mentioned in dispatches.

Dawson out and Denly coming in.

I notice the lack of a mention of Chris woakes 3 wickets on a wicket flatter than the M4 in the second game. Not a bad effort I thought

Ok - so if Denly replacing Dawson, (and assuming the rest of the starting Xi stay the same) where will he slot in the batting lineup?

Doubt he'll make it in time to play tomorrow so they'll have to bring in a seamer, probably Tom Curran. After that, if his spin really is good enough these days that he's in contention as a bowler then presumeably he slots in down the order at 8. Which seems a bit of a waste for a bat who's possibly lined up to walk out in the top 3 in the tests, but what can you do! Given that Dawson batted 9 in the last game I'd probably rather have seen Parkinson get a go to be honest, but hard to argue with getting Denly involved early.

Are England really likely to go into a game with two leggies? Kudos to them if they do.

Dawson's injury is a shame, the OS/LS/SLA gave a really nice balance to the attack. Is Leach still injured or just not rated for ODIs?

Interesting that they've gone with Denly then. You have to assume they aren't taking batting into account when making that pick.

Doubt it - otherwise they probably wouldn't have picked Dawson, would they.

Dawson is a decent bat and has been in good white ball form domestically.
For some reason he doesn't look the same batsman in an England shirt as he does for Hampshire
