I still think Sibley's a douchebag for trying to dictate to Alec Stewart about wanting assurances on where he'd bat for the team; still glad he told him to pack his bags and get Clarke back.Sam Curran finally plays a game for his county this season, how nice...
Can't really blame Sibley there I don't think - maybe more tact would have been sensible but given the Surrey top order is so stacked up that Dean Elgar bats 4, asking for assurances that you'll play seems like a reasonable move at contract renegotiation time!
He didnt ust want assurances, i believe he wanted it written in his contract specifically that he batted 3 or higher in all forms of the game. Surrey said dont be daft we wont even do that for Sangakarra, so he left. At that point he hadnt scored a ton in about 3 years.
Denly with an unbeaten 100 against a decent notts attack
