County Championship 2019
« on: November 27, 2018, 11:12:55 AM »

Fixtures for the CC and RLODC are out. T20 at 5pm

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/46343257

Please moan here about a lack of weekend Championship cricket for your club at home. We have a poxy 4 days at the Oval, I'm sure someone will be worse off.

Positive is we get to go to Scarborough again, and I'm sure the Notts contingent will enjoy playing Hampshire on the Isle of Wight

Saw that last night, first time they're playing there since the late 19th century. Think most test hosts are having to make the most of the outgrounds this year with the World Cup also in mind.

Personally still hate Guildford and wish Surrey would sort this alcohol thing out and play down at Whitgift

I was surprised they chose it over Park Avenue and Sheffield, but it is a lovely ground.  Not sure the wicket is really "first class" though...

A tough first 2 games for Kent both away vs Somerset and then Warwickshire

Or the pitch, as Geoffrey (and Bumble) would insist it was called.

* Geoffrey and Bumble! A notorious children's TV pairing, not quite.

They've had the Diamonds there in the last couple of years, some T20 warm up games and some 2nd team games. It is also where they train a some of the time too.

Top facilities too since the clubhouse was rebuilt.

Will be interesting to see how the track plays for them over 4 days, it's generally quite a road or always used to be.

There really needs to be more weekend cricket in this fixture list.

There really needs to be some sort of continuity, sometime soon.

If you're going overnight, book a meal at The Scarborough Tandoori. You'll love it.
