Your 2019 kit...
« on: December 18, 2018, 01:20:47 PM »

Back by popular demand!

It is that time of year again where people are dreaming of a generous bundle from Father Christmas, lusting after the new kit, thinking of dusting off their kit for preseason, finding some bits of kit are a looking just fractionally used, so not pristine, therefore must be replaced...

Let's see those pictures.
Match kit, net kit, wet weather kit, I don't care!

I appreciate there have been issues with photobucket. So instead use
https://postimages.org/
or
http://tinypic.com both work well and are free.

I may be tempted to delete lists of kit without pictures...!

Put up a little pic of what I've chosen to use next year yday as it happens. Gone for a new bat as clearly my lack of 100's last year was down to poor willow.

Not as good photographer as @Ayrtek Cricket but this will be the kit for season.
Anthem as main bat with other one as back up.

Good timing - I’ve just sorted the kit in my house out
It’s fair to say I’m not going to need to add too much ahead of 2019

There’s a thread on Twitter that explains how I spent my Saturday sorting it all out (with better pics)

@t2ylo nice kit! I've always wanted a coffin but feel it maybe difficult to carry and not as practical as a duffle. How do you find carrying it about?

Just had a read of the thread @t2ylo. Very impressive standard of kit within the family! Other than the Masuri helmets I think id happily use any of those items myself

Love my coffin - had it for a very long time.
Upsides - Fits easily into boot of car, protects kit really well, there’s something very old school about it.
Downsides - has to be packed very neatly to get everything in. Need boot bag. Not suitable for keepers or insane levels of kit.

I use Albion myself so happy days!

Which out of those 3 duffles do you think is best?

Tough call.
All three have side pockets for pads which is a must.
B&S has three bat slots - so big upside.
Unbranded Phantom is perfectly sized and understated. Like the valuables pocket a lot. Best back straps.
Pryzm is a proper looker up close.
So in no way answering your question.
Size. Bellingham & Smith
If I had to carry it lots - Phantom
Looks and style - Pryzm.

No help at all really

After missing most of last season with a back injury, I decided to go in a different direction with most of my kit from what I have had for the past couple of years and a bit of a change in my spending having shelled out £400 on a single bat last year. I have picked up 4 bats since the end of the season with a total cost of £480. The only items of kit to survive 'the cull' were my trusty Strettons, my club Shrey and a couple of my M&H which are now re-stickered with my matching gear OCD. I've now got a fair bit of kit that I will be looking to move on post-christmas as not had the chance to do so yet. The middle two bats are my M&H, the Kudos - my player elite from the past 2 seasons and the green Kumba2 - my Amplus/MH09. Not sure why the thumbnails are so small but clicking the image takes you to a larger image I think! Edit - Thanks @jayralh for the advice with the images
