Pads were from a seller called aft4b on ebay, I believe he has some relation to Phantom Cricket? He has some other blank stuff knocking around atm I think.
The trainers are Nike Structure 21, got them for around £50 on black friday but I think they're around the £100 mark usually. Hope that answers everything  :)

So i thought as the Missus is on her way to the Boyzone concert i would check my bats out of the cupboard.

Churchy Bat
Handmade by myself.
SSH
2lbs 9 5/8
35mm Edge
60mm Spine
Not used this one yet, thinking it could get some net action.

Jedi Bat
Custom Job from James.
SSH
2lbs 6 7/8
36mm Edge
59mm Spine
Got this at the beginning of last season, never got around to using it. Will use it against the bowling machine and go from there. Definitely a keeper, pickup is super lush!

Churchy Bat
Handmade by myself.
SH
2lbs 10 1/4
40mm Edge
60mm Spine
Net bat for last season until a 1'st teamer broke 3 bats in a row, its an ugly bat but goes like a train, let him use it....interestingly his average went up  ;)

XX Norfolk Cricket Bats
Custom Job.
SSH
2lbs 8 5/8
35mm Edge
55mm Spine
Current Match Bat, super middle, great pickup.

Ayrtek Cricket Bat
Loved the shape and size, impulse buy.
SH
2lbs 10 5/8
38mm Edge
60mm Spine
Great pickup, massive middle area, really want to get this on a bowling machine.

H4L Butterfly Devil Cricket Bat
Loved grains, love a butterfly, impulse buy.
SH
2lbs 10 1/4
35mm Edge
55mm Spine
Great pickup, interesting offset spine to middle ratio, so pretty.

All Together Now

Conclusion

XX Bat to be my League Match Bat, atm.
Get the Jedi and Churchy SSH into the Nets. All same size and roughly the same weight.
Maybe shift the Fugly Net Bat..
Ayrtek and H4L Devil, no idea, not sure there are enough games/training to get use out of them  :(

So you are the second team skipper!

Nice bats, fair play for making your own.

Was for about 8 games, before i quit! If people don't give a sh!t i don't see why i should waste my time trying to sort the best team all week for people turn up bat like a tw@t and then shoot straight off.

Did you play against your 1st XI? SHCC.

Love those bats. So similar to my collection. I’ll get mine on here soon but spending the weekend pulling down lath and plaster ceilings and plasterboarding.

My 2019 kit is almost all in this previous post/review.

http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=45094.0

Besides the ACE kit, the bits I have are as follows:

Spikes- Nike Lunar Dominate from 3/4 years ago, Asics Gel (turquiose/yellow from a couple of years back), NB CK4030 blue and yellow. I'm considering a pair of Adidas or getting some trainers spiked up.

Lids- Shrey Masterclass Air Ti, with an Albion ultimate 98 Ti/elite pro Ti as backup. Green elite Pro Ti for Frogs fixtures.

Bats- my B3 as reviewed at the end of season. I did sticker it up as an ACE but I did a rubbish job of it so will get it refurbed when I'm back home and proper stickers back on it. I've got a JP Gavan featherblade on the way, and I'm looking at a Kingsport Deadly, or a couple of other Aussie sticks. Also at home (so no pics atm) are my impulse (with loads of glue holding it together), Newbery Quantum LE in ssh, my GM Flare, Ice Sub Zero (repaired and refurbed end of season). I think that's the lot at the moment.

Bag- as mentioned in my ACE review above, I was disappointed that they don't have a standard duffle. For training I will be using my Legget and Coe duffle, and I got an Adidas black duffle in the all rounder black Friday offer for 20 quid.

So again, this isn't everything... I ordered a Professional Plus copy of my first B3 from Josh @JPGavan which I think may have been the one on Instagram the other day. The shape looks right, it's got the sticker/grip/scuff sheet combo I requested and the weight is right.

If this is indeed mine then I'll be a very happy player!

I got a set of Nike tennis shoes as seen in the post about my Ace kit for the winter which I am looking to spike up. I think Josh Phillipe was using the same trainers but white/black rather than white/blue in the BBL.

Add on morrant international pads, Puma platinum 5000 gloves and Slazenger tour duffle and that’s me done

No but favourite to least would be probably:
B&S (very very pinch would like a more oval handle though) 2lb 11oz
Aldred (pings like crazy everywhere, handle a bit thick  for me if I’m being picky) 2lb 12oz
Red Ink (outstanding performer everywhere) 2lb 15oz
Affinity (very long very pingy middle all club ages love this) 2lb 11oz
Salix.(lovely and large middle) 2lb 12oz
H4L (just beautifu 3lb 4oz!)
Jedi (would be great just up against some very special others) 2lb 11oz
Vulcan (feels great just havnt knocked it in or used it yet) 2lb 12oz
Homemade orange XX (as above pressed by Red Ink so it should be good)
Puma (GM noir signature) not knocked in or used yet.
Ton (good at the bottom, nothing up top)

My JP Gavan arrived this week. It isn't the one I thought from Instagram, but it did appear on there a few days later and got 400 odd likes on there. Fuller review and more pics to come elsewhere, but for now here are my Featherblade (right) and Pro Plus (left).

WIN_20190321_12_00_30_Pro by Alex Gorton, on Flickr

Most of my kit is now back home, sent through Send My Bag, who went from pick up in country Australia on Friday afternoon over here to delivery Wednesday afternoon UK time, quicker than I was told to expect by their own tracking. Obviously can't take photos of my chosen kit, but one thing I do know is that my match bats will be my Hunts (Ace stickered) and these two from JP Gavan. My B3 won't be making the cut for now, because I have been disappointed with its performance over the winter. Maybe it was the cheap 2 piece balls, maybe concrete based wickets meaning I was hitting the ball higher on the blade, maybe slow outfields, but shots that I would expect to be flying away for 4 with my previous B3 weapons have been slowing up well inside the boundary or just about making the infield. The only game I felt it was pinging, or starting to ping, was a t20 where I got 61 off 39, otherwise it just hasn't performed as I feel a 3 Stripe LE should. I am sending it back for refurb and will ask for it to be checked as I am a bit concerned.

I have had a similar problem with a B3 I bought for the start of last season.  Response from the bat was fairly ordinary, sent it back for then to do some work on but came back without any noticeable improvement.  Sent back a second time but been waiting 6 week's now for it to be replaced

B3 know that I've had some concerns about the performance, so when I send it in for refurb I'll have it checked over.

I'm lending my featherblade to a mate from Port Lincoln who is heading to Yorkshire to play this summer, so if anyone plays against Northowram and there is an Aussie using a JP Gavan he's borrowed it from me.

My bats for the 2019, without doubt the best set of bats I’ve ever owned. A James Taylor pro bat and the adidas (plain) that was set aside for the Curran’s.

XXX9 will probably get moved as it’s too heavy for me. Love the shape of it though.

Match bat will be the CF, Taylor or Stokes
