I remember there was a time when I got Salix Pod Blacks and felt they were the best gloves I have ever worn in my life, but then I don't know how I got into sausage style. But nonetheless, I love BlankBats for their simplicity and their constant desire to improve and offer better product and service. So, then I reached out to Tai. I asked for two pairs of sausage gloves. I had been previously using BAS or MRF ones, so I was interested to see how these fare.
As usual, Tai was very responsive, very prompt and very helpful.
Coming onto gloves, not sure what it is but BB weigh lighter than BAS/MRF. I have used BB about 5-6 times and batted almost 50 overs in them and I must say I am genuinely impressed.
- The pre-bent is better on BB than BAS/MRF which means it didn't require molding.
- BB also have better ventilation, I always felt finger vents are perhaps insignificant but once you use BB ones after BAS/MRF, you do notice the difference.
- The pre-bent curve on BB requires less flex compared to BAS/MRF so having that extra sheet of layer/protection on tip of finger is nice.
- The bottom hand index finger/thumb area is padded and seem to have thicker material on BB which increases the longevity of the gloves because BB's won't wear off as quicker.
- Velcro strap feel the same, no difference.
- BB have Indian pittards and I must say, that I used them for first time since I had Ihsan Inferno 950 gloves from @armie so I don't mind this but I am not fan of English pittard as it wears off very quickly
Now enough of talking, here are pictures.
