They have always pushed previous flagship bats down the order. I still don't get your moaning.

Years ago the Plus 10000 was their flagship bat that was replaced by the 12000,  so the quality of willow in 10000 became lower grade.

They are probably releasing new ranges and demoting the 15000. Admittedly I've never understood their model ranges but they've been doing this for years.

To prove my point, this is what the Ca plus 5000 used to look like back is 2013

And this is what their Ca plus 10000 Camo edition looks like in 2019!!!

But that is not what they say. According to their website Ca plus 12000 is still supposed to be grade 1. So is 15000. Which isnt the case. What ur saying is true but they are deceptive about it. So now the bat that used to cost say 200quid couple of years ago is now costing 450 quid even with Ca. They just downgraded the old 200 quid bat

This much anger at one brand seems really.... odd. Go look at Hanif's CA bat reviews (EclipseAllsports) on YouTube. Every single 15,000 is a stunner.

One of my teammates who has a Ca plus 15000 player edition 7 star bought it from Hanif. Again delaminated on the toe and cracked the shoulder within half a season. That one was prepared by hanif. Not his fault thought. U cant really tell if a bat is dry until u use it

CA bats go like guns.
However, my teammate got two 15000 bats from Best Cricket Store in USA and both broke in practice with old ball after knocking etc.
But some of teammates have old CA bats which are still in brilliant condition after 5+ years.

If u see the latest Ca plus 15000 they have lots of blemishes and upto 70% heartwood and even the grains arent straight. There may be an odd one out that still looks great but im telling from a batch of 20 bats that i saw 18 wouldnt pass as grade 1 (according to the JS wright definition of grade 1). What they have done (and their rep confirmed) is kept the price of Ca plus 15000 the same as 3 years ago. But its no longer the same bat. The willow that 3 years ago would have been Ca plus 8000 or 10000 is now 15000. And the willow that used to be 15000 is now players edition and so on. My recommendation to anyone looking to buy a Ca bat would be to try and look for ones with older stickers. U will see the clear difference

It has been known for many years that once a new model is released the G2 grade bats are stickered by CA with the highest grade model of last year. This is true.

But, lets look at the heart of the issue: What is a G1 bat anyway?

I paid GBP 450 for a bat sold by a forum sponsor and I had the same bat copied by the master bat maker for much less. The sponsor sold me the bat as G1 or SPS - PRO grade without stickers. I got a G1 from the bat maker with no stickers. I don't care about looks or the grains. But if you saw the grains, you won't call them "G1". They have heart wood. Most my "G1" bats have heartwood or blemishes. I am fine with paying for performance because that eliminates risk to me as a buyer but that's my preference. Unfortunately, consumers are sold on the beautiful (but scarce hence high demand) straight grain "grading" model which is a scam.

Prices of bats have gone up across the brands in last few years. It was expected which is why I stocked up on bats in last few years. :D

Just an inside tip for ca owners and those potentially looking to get one, always take a look on top of your handle for a number which represents their grading. 00 is their best willow, usually reserved for the top models, then 0, then 1,2,3. Its the best way to normally pick one out. I have a 12000, graded as 00, full legnth and semi oval. It's a gun.

Based on my knowledge, it is $600. Not 600 gbp.

I think 420 gbp is fair price relative to other brands top bats in the current market. Look at how much these SS Sharpies are going for lol Or these SG bats in coffins!

- Now would I buy a bat for 420 gbp? Probably not but that is a separate conversation.
- Are there better value bats in Pakistan? Definitely Yes
- Are they the best finished bats from Pakistan? Arguably so, with one or two people claiming MIDs are up there too
- Would I buy a CA bat? Personally not, although I rate them highly

However when you look at the wider market I don't think CA are overpriced. Could argue CA may even be cheaper than some brands and better value.

Its all relative to the market if u look at it this way. Lets say hypothetically about all the brands of the UK. If all of them had their best of the best grade bats priced around 420-450gpb then u would say its fair game. But if GM were to suddenly bump the price of their OLE grade to 750gbp then u could arguably say it is overpriced as everyone else is still selling their best bats for 450gbp.

The same in pakistan. Every other brand in pakistan have their best of the best graded bats priced between 35000pkr to 45000pkr some even lower. Enter Ca who suddenly bump their top grade rrp to 75000pkr. And that makes things very interesting

You need to take into account that they also have some high profile sponsored players. As you'd expect the y need to recoup the money. The other Pakistani brands don't need to recoup this money. I'm sure Eion Morgan cost them a premium as he could have gone elsewhere. Think you really have it in for CA  :D :D :D :D I'm just trying to be fair! I bet if tomorrow one of the boutique brands here sponsored a big player you may see prices rise  ;) ;) ;)
