you wont get bounce like that from a damp wicket in April/May!

To me it looks like your trying to hit the ball well to hard instead of getting your eye in a getting acustomed to the pitch

play the ball later, and stand deeper in the crease against swing

ah thanks for the tips. not really steep bounce..but uneven. also what i did here was the opposite..i stood like 2-3 feet outside the crease..
