I am not sure you have much of a problem, when you play good shots you are looking at the ball longer - when you play and miss your eyes are dropping to where you think the ball is going to pitch, hence you are playing and missing at balls on the off stump as you are taking your eye off the ball.
When the balls are coming into you your eyes are remaining level and you are playing the ball later.
To correct this you should spend some time having balls bowled in the corridor at you, initially trying to leave them (unless they are going to bowl you) but all the time really watching the ball from the bowlers hand as it pitches, still getting you front foot in position as if you are trying to hit the ball.
After a while you will naturally start hitting the ball - but try to time it, rather than smack it, you will get more joy through the off-side that way. Playing the ball right under your eyes will allow you to play the ball later, which will also help
