It's forecast  to be the coldest early May bank Holliday weekend on record so today and tomorrow when fielding it will be a  3/4 sleeve thin fleece short sleeve shirt a fleece line short sleeve sweater and an all wool sweater and a woolly hat.
Plus wool gloves between overs.
Now where's that thermos flask for the hot tea when a wicket falls.

I hate days like these, I always end up wearing the wrong amount when batting and end up either freezing or constantly discarding layers as a sweat my nuts off!

Fielding is a lot easier, just put on as many as possible!!

I know what you mean  will probably bat in a vest long sleeve shirt and short sleeve sweater.

I don't understand how anyone can wear so many layers!

Just a playing shirt to bat.
Playing shirt and a sleeveless pullover to field (and that's unlikely to stay on for the full innings)

Do you lot just stand stationery the whole time or what? ???

I had to unfortunately drop out from this weekend but I had hot base layer, long & short sleeve shirt and long sleeve jumper with a hand warmer for each pocket ready to go.

Good luck to all those playing. It’s bloody freezing!

After losing six and a half stone in the last 12 months. I'll be wearing plenty of bleeding layers today

Used to play hockey in Amsterdam, while snow fell, in club t shirt, but that's long long time ago, no way that's possible at 50 plus

Played yesterday and it was cold with a brisk NW wind.

I had an 3/4 sleeve shirt and an under armour heat gear compression long sleeve shirt underneath plus long thigh covering shock doctor compression shorts underneath.

For fielding and batting I was warm enough with enough movement. For spin bowling I felt I couldn't access the last 15% of trying to accelerate and extend my action at the crease because my muscles were too cold.

For reference, I'm what you might term a northerner and am rarely cold. I think a different thicker under armour shirt would work next time.

I played on Thursday.
Am still sore! Was fine in a very thick UA cold gear baselayer, shirt and fleecy jumper.
Glad I wasn't in the sleet today!
