Yes, I could be wrong here, but when they put stickers on a bat that say "designed by gray nicolls in australia", and use colours and a size that you need a magnifying glass to read, it does make me wonder.  I have an atomic 1000 with the same sticker - nowhere on the bat does it say 'made in australia', so I assume it's not.

If it's made in australia, they would surely say it somewhere with a bigger, bolder sticker, as it's a big selling point especially with the locals.
The one on the right you can partly see, doesn't have the 'designed in australia' sticker on the spine, and has a big Southern Cross at the toe.  I'd guess that one is Aus made. (edit - DOH, it is when you use the scroll bar  )

I have a theory that the Aus made ones have a 'bullet shaped' red GN spine sticker, as on the Velocity's in the background of the above pics.

Mitch Marsh "Ultra" spine side stickers look funny: poor detailing and uneven application.

The bullet shape is just an older sticker design for those ranges and that vid is from early 2017, so the new ranges will all have the stickers that are displayed in these pictures ( legend range excluded)

I have a Velocity players choice from last year that is Aus made and the stickers still only state that it is designed in Aus. They use stamps and handle stickers to differentiate. And I'm not 100% on this because I don't own an Indian made GN but I think the A stamped into the toe signifies the class of willow, but is only used on Aus made bats.

I think the Shaun Marsh edition will be different because he doesn't seem to be endorsing any of the standard ranges, so I'd think of it more as a Legend range model, which all have the same southern cross stickers.

I would be very surprised if Gray Nics went away from a method that distinguishes them in the market, especially considering they are still making cheaper bats than these in Melbourne.

A fair explanation, thanks, but interesting that the Renshaw Atomic does not have an A stamp but the rest do, even though its "superior grade 1 english willow" like the rest?

I'm still confused, but then again, I only just discovered the scroll bar and the other 4 bats on the right, so I'm probably easily confused!

This is my GN Giant bought in the late 80's I guess.  No confusion about where it was made, yet they've gone away from it!

Haha thankfully some things have definitely become far more subtle since the 80's, truthfully with these pictures it can seem hard to tell, but I think if we were to see them in the flesh it would become pretty apparent where they were made, there are lots of indicators, albeit none as obvious as the 80's

They are all made in Melbourne and clearly labelled Australian made, you just can't see it in these pics.

Yes, all bats sold in Australia will have country they are made in stated on bat somewhere (or should have to comply with the law)
