Can’t believe I just watched that,,,what’s with the trying to hit it through the ceiling tiles,,do people actually fall for that?
Might have to

I've just refurbed my old GM Cannon (purchased circa 1995) which has been in storage for at least 16 years, had a seriously delaminated face and weighs 2lbs 9. Tapped it up and managed to hit the ceiling.....go figure! I might video it, scrawl 'Gatting' on the bottom in Sharpie and stick it on Ebay as a pro bat for £400

Seems like a very decent price for a Made by Salix grade 1 - bat looks very similar to the Pod.

Might have to try that,,,
Aaannnyyyway,,,,bat shape, hmmm thin toe, don’t like them,,minimal concaving, err ok,, but it’s a Salix, so should be decent

Stickers,,,oh my word,,, I can’t see how Paul ok,d them,,they look like a three yr old designed em,,,I always thought he enjoyed the details and effort that people put into sticker design and putting that across to his viewers
There’s nothing special about them, nothing unique,,come on put a bit of effort in,,,or just leave it blank.

Just seems like a knee jerk attempt to cash in on the high prices Aussies have to pay, in time for their season starting
That’s an expensive bat ruined by shocking stickers

I agree to almost all points except for Stickers. They may really be aren't that bad for the Aussie public as they seem to be to the English public.

Obviously taste is subjective, but just because we are Australian, Doesn't mean we are blind.

Personally the colours aren't my choice, but all they had to do was incorporate green and gold into the fantastic design Salix already have, slap the IJC logo on it somewhere and they would have an absolute winner. Unfortunately, books do get judged by their covers.

I hope I don't come across as being too harsh with the guys from IJC, I respect the idea and effort that will have gone into planning this and executing the idea, as I'm sure most on the forum do, I love that the UK bat makers and retailers are servicing the Aussie market and trying to fill a gap as best they can, I'd hope that they'd see this thread and see it as constructively as possible.

Agreed mate. Not my taste but not to say I'm right and I'm sure some will like them. Suppose the quality of the willow should be all that matters too, but it doesn't hurt for the bat to be dressed nice I suppose  :D

The excessive 'tapping up' in videos is a bit much tho, but IJC aren't the only ones guilty of this. However people obviously like to see it, otherwise nobody would do it. But hit a ball hard enough with a fence post and it would hit the ceiling. Have to applaud them putting content out there though and the videos are informative on product features etc.
