Couple more beauty's shaped up inbetween refurbs and repairs. Got some more custom orders through too, so will update when i can.

First up is a short blade (530), with std short handle variation of my JS175, butbwith the middle dropped by 15mm. Lovely clean butterfly cleft, which has made a lively bat at 2lbs 9.5oz. Have just posted a video on this on Instagram, as it's come in 05 - 1oz more than the customer was hoping, but it feels really nice with a good nice size handle etc. So we've agreed to leave it where it is, with the view we can always reduce the weight.

Next up is another Butterfly. Made as a modified copy of an M&H bat, but with a different shaped handle, modified edges to fit through the gauge, but far less concaving than the original. Finished 2lbs 12o, around the same as the M&H but doesn't feel it imo.

Last up, one ill finish up tomorrow. A very generous grade 2, requested in my JS175 profile but with a rounder/more traditional toe. Will finish just under 2lbs 10oz fully dressed and is gonna be a weapon!

Like many forum members I’ve been following the Scott cricket bats journey and finally took the plunge last week given the price of the butterfly clefts on offer, and sent a bat into Jonny for it to be copied, with some tweaks to the design around the shoulders and handle  - its the 2.12 millichamp referred to above, the one with spine through toe - its arrived today and I am delighted. I am really fussy and cant fault it. Pressing, handle, toe, finish - superb customer service and the attention to detail is immaculate. I had a throwaway comment in my request for 3-5mm thicker shoulders and it has… 4mm thicker shoulders.

Always sceptical when buying bats as a lot of people talk the talk but dont deliver. Got some proper nice bats stored away which I’m a bit loath to use, this one however I cant wait to get going with it. Decals look a lot better in the flesh as well!! Highly recommended.

Thanks mate, appreciate the kind words and really pleased you're happy with it. Regardless of who I'm making them for, I always try and provide the very best bat i can. However, if I'd have known about your exacting standards I'd have quadruple checked everything! 😂

Really do appreciate the support from everyone who's put their faith in me and the brand, not to mention their hard earned cash!

Hope it scores you plenty of runs mate.

Had a mixed day of refurbs, repairs and overdue workshop updates/tidy up! Managed to get this one I posted about yesterday finished up inbetween. Lovely G2, big bat too at a smidge under 2lbs 10oz. Don't often do a round toe but was requested by the customer. Actually really like it though.

The butterfly looks stunning! May I ask how much a butterfly would cost from you?

When the customer showed his 475mm blade/375mm handle butterfly batto his mate last week, he ordered one for himself. A few tweaks, wanted a lower middle, big toe and had to pass through the gauge at 2lbs 12oz. Final result below...

Also shaping up one or two new profiles to add one to the stock shapes in the coming weeks. This is one of them, Grade 1 and 2lbs 11.5oz. My low middle shape tends to sell more, so trying to get another low one in the range but without the duckbill. Really like this shape and was inspired by a few older style bats I'd seen recently. To me it picks up really well, as it feels like the weight is evenly distributed throughout. Also available if it takes anyone's fancy 😁

Lovely one there @jonny77 - would have been graded 1 by many, and you'd argue fairly so too. That's a very nice looking G2. Lovely shapes as always - and for anyone interested, that Green stickered G1 bat felt very very nice in the hands. I popped in for a visit last week, and couldn't put it down! Picked up beautifully despite the low middle with no duckbilling, I think largely thanks to the traditional elements added in with that spine running high into the handle. If the missus hadn't been there, would have been another to add to the collection  :D

Thanks mate, it's a looker for sure and I've actually seen worse G1s. Thought with all the talk of grading, it might have got more of a comment! 😆

Really liked experimenting a little with green stickered one too and it's a nice bit of willow too.

Appreciate the comments 🙏

Thank you for taking the time for sharing your fine work with us @jonny77 I don’t comment much on the forum these days but always check your updates. Your workshop (from the pics) also always looks clean tidy and organised, which is a sure sign of someone who knows what they are doing and cares about their craft. Great stuff mate.
