New site looks good.  Impressed overall with Nixon, got themselves two workshops up and down the country.  Very pleased with Nixon overall.

Thoughts?

Very impressed with Nixon, A guy at my club has a couple of Nixons that he bought last year, and they are great if you like a nice traditional profile, with generally a bottom heavy pickup, they last nicely and I've heard good things from Nick Nixon in general, nice to also see an improvement in the softs which in all fairness to Nixon have been laking over the past couple of years.

I hope to see more from them, and perhaps gain such a repuation like Redback, Vantage, H4L etc etc.

In fairness I think Nixon has a bigger reputation than Vantage and H4L - it has a big following in Yorkshire and provides a seriously good amount of bats for league players in the North (and has done for MANY years). I'm obviously biased as I own a few and know Nick but on forums he doesn't tend to get much coverage (in fact I'm the only bloke who's had one), where as in reality he is one of a handful of batmakers actually getting his own sticks, pressing them and doing all the hard work himself.

I have a Nixon too, quality bat. Still going strong after a couple of seasons, true when Punter says he doesn't get enough coverage but you see loads in the league I play in!

They are very good bats. Good to see a batmaker who goes right through the process. Including pressing his own bats. Ive played against Magdalen School a few times and a lot of their players use his bats, I think they have coach who knows Nick quite well...

I'm at AGS. We played in a twenty20 tournament at your school last year and most of your team used his stuff. It may even have been sponsored by it as your lot had coloured pads by Nixon. Incredibly nice grounds though!

great video - must take him ages to make all them bats, though good to see how he operates and what machinery he's chosen to use.
I've only seen a couple of his bats and they seemed pretty decent - not a popular brand in the west country though.

I've not really seen any nixon bats, and i live in lincs! outside of yorkshire they're a rarity, a fair few of the lads at uni use them, and they're all from the hull/yorks area, so i suppose it rings true.

Yeah you're right that the coach played years of league cricket in Yorkshire and his brother played for Yorkshire. Nicki used to sponsor them and now does gear (balls coloured pads) for the school and makes up nice bats for the lads when they ask (obviously at normal price). It's how I have my link with Nick.
