No idea if you’re being sincere on the double bounce thing, but I think we can agree it is not a common occurrence.

Once again for those at the back, the fact it was a double bouncer and it deceived the batsman enough to rattle the stumps and the confusion after all contributed to it being a bit of a farce. You’ve inadvertently shown the difference there I’d say by the fact that the batsman in the men’s game just danced down the pitch and smoked it.

Next you’re going to be telling me the Thai women today were power hitters

Yes, I am being sincere.  I must not watch as much cricket as you, but I genuinely cannot remember one at an this level, perhaps the Daniel Sams ball in this year's BBL, but that didn't even get near the pitch, so yes, I agree with you that it's not a common occurence, and to have two in the same night was odd.

Yeah I don't think there's any point focusing on one no ball. There are no balls in all forms of cricket and it's a free hit whatever the cause of it. We should focus on how the game is played the rest of the time, which I think is way different from men's cricket. Actually club cricketers could maybe learn a lot about careful placement of lofted shots without necessarily hitting it out of the ground.

Also we are probably assuming all the CBF members are men here.  It's sad that no women feel able to chip in to this discussion, and maybe there are in fact none on the forum(i don't know this, but I'm guessing from the things that are said on this thread)

Trying to be a bit too clever I reckon. All for tactical thinking in T20s but, up to a point, keeping it simple is the smart choice. Get your best bat to face a lot of balls and they'll score a lot of runs.

Good recovery from England against the might of Thailand. 7/2 after 2 overs. The two early wickets were abysmal, and I can’t decide if the cause was arrogance or ineptitude.

I believe the stated reasoning is so they have a "finisher" down the order. Completely ignores the differences in women's and men's T20 and the fact that England don't have that many quality top order batting options, but that's not shocking. Some of the coaching decisions in women's cricket are unfathomable sometimes.

Bloody annoying news breaking this morning- both Semi finals are planned for Thursday in Sydney (odd enough).

What makes this problematic though is that there’s an 80% chance of rain, predicted around 20-30mm (plus rain in the days preceding).

Knockout games have to be min 10/overs a side to count

And NO RESERVE DAY for Semi Finals

WTF?!?!?

Also, worry for Perry as she was carried off today. Really doesn’t seem like it’s Aus’s tournament this year.

England should be watching the SA/WI game tomorrow intently praying for a WI win
