Loads of great shots in there, you've got a great eye and reflexes. Looks like you tend to end up front on towards the bowler at the end of the shot sometimes. Not sure why that happens, but I think a lot of batters keep their body more side on through the shots, even through the legside. But see also the recent thread about allowing the shoulders to be a little front on, not rigidly side on, and also the deweighting thread.

Luckily I didn't understand the sound commentary ;)

I dont know what is that issue that I end up front on. To be honest I dont know much of technical terms associated with batting. One thing I noticed is that sometime I commit too early to a shot and if there is not much pace in ball I end up miss hitting. For example There is a short delivery in video that i hit straight up in air

I'm no coach. I'm sure someone else on here can say why that's happening and whether it's a problem or not. I noticed that you commit quite early especially for leg side shots. Does seem to give you loads of time to play the shot though.

Couple of things: 1. practice leaving wide balls instead of swinging at them. It's a handy skill in a game situation. 2. Have a plan for your practice - for example, working on your front foot drives and defending or leaving everything else.

Thank for advice. Will leave wides next week and will only concentrate on defending the ball and leave everything else. Both times I was bowled had made up my mind what shots I was gonna play even before bowler started run up.
I gotta change that habit too.

Really good advice. Most times I got out last season I was caught while swinging at a really bad wide ball on off side. Sometimes they jump up higher then you expect and you can edge it. This is one of the problems in playing lower league cricket. You can get out through going for the bad ball.

Great stuff again. I'm guessing you're more of a 2020 player than 50 over, double innings?  ;)

Out of interest, what league level do you play, and what is your average?

I liked the bowler celebrations when they finally got you out, but could be kind of annoying in a match...  ;)

Still glad I can't understand the audio commentary

To be honest I hate playing T20. I like 50 overs and love Test. We play 50 overs currently 3rd division. My average is really sh#t I think 13 or 14. Need to check that again.

Bowler's celebration is actually a mockery of one of our opposition's overseas. Now anytime we bowl someone out at nets we do that for fun

I'm guessing you are going at the straight ball too aggressively in the match situation then. But you are above my league anyway.

I only been playing since 2016/17. Never played with leather ball before. I did make that mistake( aggression) last year and got out so many times unnecessarily that contributed to low average. Years before last we were playing Diving 1 where I did not get opportunity. Either I was playing for draw or slog and get out batting at 7/8/9 even 10 in one match.  There was so much stuff going on within the club that hopefully has resolved for this season that will help everyone in team. These shots i been playing in nets hopefully I would be able to execute them in match staying calm that will help. I learnt all this on my own or picking some tips here thats why i upload videos to get any advice that will help me further.
