Kev makes the bats for the international players, the machine makes for everyone else. Odd that they have to carve the bow in the bat, thought they might have been able to do it with the press.

I can do but would need someone to hold the camera for me as the dog wasnt very useful last time...kept gettin distracted by the tennis ball!

Would be exciting and would mean trips to 3 different places to record and a road trip around the UK to our manufacturers.

Not sure what he means by "Our bats pickup just that little bit better" after weighing it with Swann dog.  Every bat will be different, even if they are all made to the same specifications, surely?

Who doesn't make a bat that picks up lighter than the dead weight? It is just a common marketing phrase that is meaningless.

One of the best videos around in my opinion, great to see them taking you through the process in lots of detail...
That is a beast of a CNC and interesting that they use it to achieve the bow in the bat instead of using the press to do this.
Certainly did sound a bit scripted!

This makes me want to try out a GM DXM! Good video although the old guy in part 1 annoys me!

Trust them to leave the stickering and gripping to women!!

Couldnt understand why they shave the handles to tie in with the bat before glueing them in place surely its more efficient to glue the handle in place then use the drawknift to tidy it up so its smoother?

Eactly what i thought tom, less chance of making a mistake and making it look crap if you shape it after gluing surely :S

Yeah surely more time effective for the bloke who then has to line it up exactly and hammer it in place....if he glued them and then they shaved the excess parts off it would save him a fiddly job and give a perfect alignment!
