Barn for a few nets a day
Set up a fire stick with a 55’ tv for ashes full series re runs in the barn

Running machine
Bike on turbo
5/10kg weights and a mat

I should be ok to keep the weight falling off hopefully. 21 down to 15 and a half so don’t want to ruin that

I'm running 9 to 12k about 4 times a week. I try and include some sprints over short distances to keep my pace good. This is something I usually do out of season anyway. I don't find I can maintain it over the summer as my legs get fatigued /injured if I'm also playing twice a week.

Not much upper body work apart from some throwing and hitting a cricket ball on a string. Might try and mix in some circuits and dynamic yoga (which is actually the toughest work out of all for me...anyone else find that?)

Ball on a string! That takes me back. Glad that's a tradition that's not being lost!

It's pretty useful for warming up, watching the ball carefully, and pactising a particular shot that needs work.

Just ran 9k while the kids cycled alongside me. Put a heavy bag up in the garage the I’ve been doing 6 rounds on every other night. Also got a cross trainer, assault bike and a weight bench that I’ve been using to keep my fitness up.

Luckily Ive got an Olympic bar with 4x 10kg plates, a few different dumbells and various flex bands, so have been doing a fairly decent routine outside on the patio in the morning sunshine.
Coupled with living fairly rurally and being able to run with the dog for miles without seeing another person I am hoping not to bloat too much in this spell!

I’ve bought a book called anatomy of stretching that I’m working my way through! Didn’t realise my flexibility was so bad

Tell me about it!

In my case, it was some overly strong muscle compensating for weak(er) muscles which led to lot of back and leg pain. Long story short, I was prescribed a set of exercises (and stretches) by a physical therapist and notice to lay off heavy weights.

I am hoping that developing a regular "kettlebell" practice will help with some of tightness and weak muscle issues.

Thanks for the help... I hope the carpet and I will pull through this difficult time

It's probably typical of the first 10 shots of my innings before I get out : wildly swing and miss, then play a few straight, then get tempted and start playing wild shots, then get out...

I've got 2 x catering size tins of beans for the upper body and a (No Swearing Please)-pump.

I'm good to go.
