New stick on the bench today for a forum member:
Asked for a mid/mid low middle and 2.10, didn't care about grains or grade, so I picked him out a G3 cleft, because I felt that offered him best value and it also was the right weight to make a good sized bat at the specs.
Also made another tusker replica a couple of days ago. Saw a comment about bat shapes becoming effectively a bit samey and dull (which incidentally I can get behind, as 90% of the orders I get today are "big edges, minimal concaving, light weight, like a pro would use") so it's always nice to make something completely left field.
2.10 dressed with a nice thick old school oval handle. Made from a lovely G1 cleft too with nice even grains that are all sapwood.
