Got a massive dilema as an experiment I produced 3 bats that I would class as inferior looks-wise!!!  two have a minor knot on the front and this one pictured has a fairly substantial butterfly stain.... however out of my latest bunch of bats these 3 have turned out to perform the best LOL.

Don't get me wrong the others are brilliant bats too but these three have happend to be exceptional ....what I would class as once in a lifetime bats!!  1 for sure will be used by myself!!!!  What would you guys do with them?

I'm thinking of creating a whole new grade and call them Performance Grade or something and sell them on the phenominal performance they give.  Would you consider that an option??  You can see its a dilema.... just thought I'd post the pic anyway as it gives you an idea of our shape etc.

Keep the poor looking ones for yourself or sell to team mates. It's hard to sell an ugly looking bat on the internet, based on the sellers word that it's good.

I would say yes, lots of smaller companies do that eg. Fusion, MG2.

Yeah I know what you mean.... I've just sold one of them for £165.00 though.... friend dropped in, I let him try a number of balls on it and a mallet... asked him what he thought was a fair price and there we go :-)

I've got one on the side for me now going to oil it and spend about 4 hours annoying the girlfriend by knocking it in  ::) ;D

In all honesty 90% of all the bats we have made in this latest run have been great... we are over the moon with them!!! The average ones will be ditched and hopefully the rest are going to make for some very happy batsman and some very unhappy bowlers  ;D

I know of a few podshavers that I would be happy to buy a bat based on them saying it performed well.  I think it is a question of trust.... If you're comfortable that is performs well then grade it accordingly

The guys I'm thinking of are....

Julian Millichamp
James Laver
Andrew Kember
Tim Keeley
James Cornford

I agree with you Norbair... and trust is the thing I'm looking to achieve with this brand.

This is the bat I've selected for myself from our latest batch!  Noticed the crappy stickers.... this is why we need your help!!! fortunately everyone who has bought them from us has accepted that they are proto-types so have accepted performance without the good looks  :-[

Normally this bat would be sold with a red or black grip... personally I think the red one looks better but it's personal taste! (for some reason this light coloured grip thats normally under the 2nd grip has grown on me as it makes my stickers look less tacky... well in the flesh anyway... photos never do products much justice).

Basically at the time we just needed something on the bat so that people knew the brand... now I need to  have great stickers to truly help create the brand.

If you have another 'inferior-looking' one, I will pay your postage costs, and give you some exposure here!! ;D
