Having said Billings has not convinced, the lad has been really solid today.

Very good player think we spend so much time on the world class players like Root, Stokes, Williamson, Kohli etc we forget or bypass the very good players of which i personally think he is. His glove work when ever Iv seen him for Kent or very occasionally for England is always very tidy and is a modern 360 degree player.

YJB really does seem to have had a torrid time with the bat since the World Cup last year

Nice for Billings to have a chance to bat some time rather than have to biff it at the end. His technique looks very tidy to me, seems quite Kohli-esque

Billings did play well, I suppose we are building somewhat to 2023- don’t think Morgan have committed to that maybe not all the current players would play in 3 years time.
It’s solely in India as well which will be very tough to win for a team outside of the sub continent

You would think whoever plays spin well would have a good chance

Could make sense as Billings has played in a lot of IPL games so knows the country and conditions well

IMO Billings is a fantastic limited overs batsman, his list a record is up there with pretty much anyone else - averages almost 45 with a strike rate over 105.

Billings is just unfortunate that England has plenty of middle order batsmen ahead of him.

Vince isn’t all that bad, against this kind of modest opposition

Again, make an easy score look difficult by throwing it away
