I have struggled to get the inner thigh pad to work.  However I shape it and however I attach it with the straps, it always ends up protected the inside of my knee cap within the first over.  Maybe it is supposed to be used as a chest guard after all

I saw the second photo and assumed he had a chest guard, didnt realise he was using the inner thigh there!

Ive struggled with the inner thigh aswell, it seems harder to get a proper fit. Resorted to bending it way way past the shape of my inner thigh and strapping it tightly in the kitbag for a few days. Does work but needs doing every week or 2. Not the dream thighpad product I was looking for but a definite improvement on aero strippers

It worked well for me. I went super aggressive with both thigh guards - almost like you’d roll up a towel. Pic here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CDuDYkfh67a/?igshid=12tnb320gjqvk

Then let it sit for a day or two and it will open up slightly on its own. No need to redo it after this.

Steve smith was also using them in a recent net, doesn't look like he got the memo about shaping them before!

Is this what they mean by 'All the gear, no idea'?

Mine goes back to the same shape  as Smith is wearing after a few weeks if I do not keep them  strapped up really tight in the kit bag . And the strap at the back keeps riding up the hip . An excellent product , but  maybe there is some scope for improvement after all .

I appreciate the innovative aspect of the product but product has to work. What we are seeing here is something I have alluded to in the past: time consumption. If a product takes too much effort or too long to become effective, it is a time-expensive product.

Make things easy to use. No wonder Remfry's are so popular.

I would say stick to aeros or remfry. Strettons are a good concept but very tedious.

Are the old style SF’s no longer available. And has anyone given feedback directly to @StrettonFox Sports ?

Respectfully disagree. Took me about two hours to figure it out (tried a few different shaping techniques) but the reward is excellent. If you get the moulding right, you won’t find a more comfortable set of thigh guards. I think they need to release more detailed videos to help people figure it out - not many have the patience for trial and error.

Totally agree with you ! People don’t want to be faffing on with getting the moulding right etc, I certainly couldn’t be bothered with it. Best set of thigh pads I’ve used is the moonwalkr Endos

One of my worst cricketing decisions was to get rid of my battered Remfrys for a pair of Strettons.

Just couldn’t get on with them and found them nowhere near as comfortable as the Remfrys. Couldn’t get them to fit as well as the Remfrys despite weeks of trying! Gave up in the end and sold them on!

Since trying the Strettons i have gone out and purchased another pair of Aeros.  I have had a number of attempts to get the moulding right without success plus the size and shape of the insight thigh pad doesn't work for me. If I could get the outside thigh pad to work, I would probably have to go down the route of Tim Paine and use a different inner thigh pad with it.

The ideal product for me would be using the material in the Strettons to make a pair of Aeros

Looks like Labushagne has started using them also! Look a lot better moulded too!
