From what I understand of Compton, there wasn't a lot of natural talent but his work ethic was on a completely different level - spending full days batting against the bowling machine to replicate the concentration needed to bat for a full day in the middle.  His name got him an opportunity to get into the first class game but he fully deserved what he achieved from it

Just read the story on this, that's pretty poor. Apparently precedent is for a two game ban which sounds about right for outright cheating.

2 game ban just doesn't seem enough of a deterrent to players/clubs. I do think they need to get properly harsh with punishments to really make it a massive gamble to take if you want to cheat in any way or even try something on (like QDK etc).. 6 game FC ban (including all formats between them) and PTS lost from the game.. maybe a fine too

His FC record is very good and has been for a while. I think myself, unfortunately he may have to wait until Buttler just plays limited overs cricket.

There is so much money to be made in the short form leagues worldwide, players are cutting off a couple of years early to maximise earnings.
