I normally just look at the batsmen on the CC to see who might get a call up, but Robinson of Sussex is being tipped and he's backing it up with a lot of wickets.

Don't think it's just early season pitches either as he's been consistent last 2-3 seasons. Not a speedster he must have the skills to move the ball or swing it not sure which

Doesn't hurt that he's massive and lands it on a spot pretty much at will.

typical. sky sports picked the most boring game, especially yesterday

Looking at the scores, this match might actually be shaping up to being quite interesting. Gloucestershire have been good this year.

I don't think he's even that short of pace to be fair, probably mid 80s, and when I watched the stream of the Sussex Yorkshire game he was certainly getting it to carry through!

Think I read that he averages low 80s but you have to think there's a few extra mph in a frame that big.

Supposedly England management have got him on extra strength and conditioning, IIRC they got a few extra mph out of Broad by doing the same.

Pace doesn't come from strength.

Pace doesn't come from strength.

Strength and conditioning work isn't just about upping your bench press PR 😅 are you trying to suggest that fast bowlers don't have extremely good lower body and core strength to enable them to consistently bowl fast?

No, being strong isn't going to make you a quick bowler, but there is clearly a relationship between consistently bowling quick and having a good level of S&C.

I'm sure Robinson could bowl a pretty quick ball, but it's about doing it consistently and accurately over the course of a match. I imagine that's why he'd be on an S&C program from the England management.

I think Sky are just using the pictures from the Middlesex livestream.

Sky to be showing more county cricket in the absence of IPL. Next three weeks announced. Wow!

Typical that he played his first game back against Kent!  Decent seam attack that; Robinson, Archer and Garton and a great toss to win ( I have to blame something)

Love just watching Stevens making Travis Head look like a muppet this last over and then knocks him over.  Almost like Head thought I’m to good to be made to look like this by a 45yr old trundler.

Although as a Kent fan haven’t had much to be cheerful about so far.

What a knock from Dan Lawrence, that won't do his chances of making the Test side any harm.
