The Predator is here!

And...... ??

Is there something special about this one that we missed?  Or are you teasing us about a pending review of a bat that was launched in 2017

Chalkie at his best!
I think I sounded dramatic, none of the above but just got over excited with it 🙂

I hear Alex Hales is going to be using this. I think he’s going to be a huge asset to the 2019 World Cup squad.

This is a big one!
Only knocked in for half an hour and it feels to be ready to use!
What's the weight please?

2,14 but feels much lighter. And that's before I thicken the handle and add a counter weight. 48mm edges.

Do you carry a gauge as well? When going out for batting?
Why you need to do so this? When it already feels light? Are you trying to make even lighter pickup? And have an the wood in the blade? Just curious

Gauges? We don't need no stinking gauges!

To do the Voodoo that you do so well, we play pretty keen recreational cricket. Used to be Sunday cricket but because we're getting older we've just agreed to play the Saturdays so we have a day longer to recover.

GN handles are very thin and round so I kill two birds by adding the K tape which ovals it out too. I cut strips to about 2/3 of the length of the handle and a 3 to 4 layers front and back. Stretching them out to the length of the handle reduces the 5cm width of the tape. Then you've got a thicker handle without the flex of a second grip.

The counter weight does make a difference to me. I bat very open handed so my bottom two fingers on my top hand rest just under the (for want of a better word) knob. 2 layers of 2 strips does the job.

😀😀Hahaha
Saturday or Sunday, doesn't matter I do look at those bats when they come out bat to my bowling.
Yesterday, that guy who's very humble in person, was hitting me hard and his bat was sounding very sweet! 😀 He middled everything but one, but then slip was moved, without even letting me know, (skip) 😀
while taking a couple, batter was saying, well bowled,

It was an AKD bat, white willow, guessing, looking at it's middle, around 2lb 11oz.

I would like to see the end product if possible. Sounds rather interesting.

Here's the Shockwave which I also did last night. Not as neat as the P3 but it should give you an idea. It works for me and I only have my little finger of my left hand on the raised magnetic tape.

It works for me. I'd say experiment as you can always take it off and start again.
