Never saw a clean sweep with a put together team at the last minute

Pretty impressive from us, Carse slowed the down at the end of their innings which maybe made 330 not 350 plus

What to say about Vince, def the most frustrating player in modern times, but he's always had the talent.

There does not appear to be any room in the 50 over team but you never know I suppose. Gregory was superb as well

Would it not be deliciously ironic if Vince finally "cracked it" then there was never space again?

Carse, Gregory,Vince and Mahmood all have put themselves forward. Mahmood is a non batter so maybe he may stand a better chance in the Test side.

I dunno, unless there is rotation of players again, they may have to wait for an injury to play. Most of the one day team probably will be young nough to play in 2023 or  whenever the next WC is.

I think they have made themselves first reserves thou.

Tremendous bench strength from England - some of the first choice players might struggle to get back in !

See they've left out Woakes for the t20 series. Understandable, he's obviously in need of a rest with the huge volumes of cricket he's been playing lately...

I read somewhere he, S. Curran and Woody have all tested positive for Covid

Gregory 2.0 has been very impressive. A proper all rounder. I remember his name being mentioned as someone with genuine pace in international T20 leagues. He seems to have lost the pace now but proving to be very effective both with bat and ball. He could surely give Sam Curran a run for his money in this Eng squad.

SCurran has the left arm angle that they like though. Could see Gregory displacing his brother.

There aren't a lot of spaces in our first choice white ball squads.  Probably 13 in each format are nailed on when everyone is fit - and yes, Tom Curran is the guy who currently has most to lose.

Players being rested, injured, maybe the only hope of the 'A' side we just put out getting a game. Even thou England say rotation is over I think we will do it myself.

Parkinson and Mahmood are in today's T20 game, Rashid rested.Theres no Buttler perhaps he is not fully fit.

The other new guy getting another chance is Livingstone, he's another who has had to wait for a decent chance.
He bowls a bit as well and might be an outside shot for the main team.

How has T Curran managed to hold onto his spot in this team? What does ECB see in him really??

Not sure. I think S Curran is by far the better player for all 3 formats.
If you’re looking a like for like allrounders Gregory and Carse have been impressive.
Not sure Carse would be classed as an all rounder but he can bat and is far quicker bowling.

Gregory would probably be like for like

Yeah, I would have Carse down more as a bowler who can bat a bit than a genuine all-rounder.

Well Livingstone is doing himself some good, he can certainly clear the ropes  :)

Nice to see the Adidas bat being used, Ian Bell style(one of many sponsors!)
