Wicket keeping is much easier when the ball travels in a straight(ish) line to you If you’re stood back. Once you add in a deviation to that straight line and change the angle it becomes more difficult. Fielding wise there was an interesting bit by Nasser the other week where he said square leg bad point are tricky as u haven’t got the depth perception of how quickly it’s coming as @AJ2014 mentioned with his issue.Everyone will have shelled a catch at some point, even the great fielders like Collingwood/Jonty. A lapse in concentration taking your eye off the ball is usually the problem where you don’t coordinate your hands to take it.
