Bat Maker
Chase Cricket Limited designs and handcrafts the very finest cricket bats from its workshop in Hampshire and we are looking for a Junior Bat Maker to join the team.
There will be a [c. 1 year] training period and the successful candidate will learn all aspects of bat making through from the initial wood selection to processing the cleft in the workshop all the way through to finishing and stickering the completed bat.
Other duties will include:
Assist with bat making where required and able (this will depend on the individual and how far through their training period they are.)
Carry out repair and servicing of bats.
Assist with stickering and gripping bats.
Assist with dispatch of new and repaired bats.
Other ad hoc duties – stock takes, machine and workshop maintenance, ordering supplies, tidying workshop and packing room.
Welcome customers in workshop.
