Afternoon all, it’s been ages since I posted for reasons that I will hopefully soon be able to disclose!

Anyway just wanted to share the latest innovation with the CBF crowd, I was asked by a few county players if I could look into a low profile chest guard that didn’t look bulky and inhibit their movement. Given my link to D3O as their brand partner for cricket I delved into the materials shed and thought placing something inside a compression top would help with the low profile aspect by pulling it tight to the body, also removing the need for straps that tend to move during play.

I then spotted an advert for a new innovative compression top in The Cricketer magazine so reached out to the guys at Exosuit to see if it was something they’d be interesting in collaboration on, my thoughts being it would offer the Pros a technicality advanced garment to bat in whilst us joe public get a top to field in and the benefit if slotting in the protection if required when batting.

They came back with a positive yes so we started work on developing a prototype for trial during the county season, these went well and as such things have progressed a little to have them used during the Ashes by a growing number of the squad out there. There’s still work to be done before we can launch it to the public but hopefully we’re not too far off!

They are like a football/soccer shin guard that you slip under a sock?

Sorry that last one was a Hybrid that snuck it! They are like a shin pad yes, the protection in the ExoTek is flexible yet still performs very well in terms of impact absorption when compared to other stand alone chest guards out on the market 👍

The orange colour is what D3O use as their brand and therefore in their material to make it stand out, it is possible to get it in other colours I expect as I don’t think the military would thank them when trying to keep camouflaged!

Little update on this product as it had a soft launch a few weeks back to the general public, I’m waiting on more D3O stock so haven’t gone crazy on the promo until I knew when it was due.

These have been in use for a while now with our countries finest so it’s great to be able to bring the product out under the ProTek title.

Feedback from the players was that they wanted it as a vest so the sleeves were removed on the final launch version.

As a little CBF offer I’ll throw in a Free Hybrid PRO 2.0 worth £22 for anyone who orders. Just drop me a note and I’ll throw one in 👍

Great work as always Tom.

Looks a great bit of kit. I think I'll order one as a Xmas present for myself.

What's the fit like? Given the measurements on your website, i would need a XXL bit there wasn't a choice to purchase that size.

Cheers

Hi mate, I’m usually an XL but find the L better as it’s a snugger fit that you want from it in order to pull the padding tighter to your body 👍

I haven’t got an XXL with the first drop but are on the production list.

There’s 2 options depending which thickness of padding you want, 11mm Stelth version is £95 or 18mm Pro version is £105.

You get the compression top you can wear to field in as well and the fit the D3O panel for batting to give you chest protection. As a forum offer I’ll include a £22 Hybrid Pro 2.0 with the order too if you just let me know what colour you’d like 👍

Just got one of the hybrid wrist bands. It's great. Cannot wait to use it in nets. Recommended piece of kit.
