New kit
« on: January 07, 2022, 07:27:50 PM »

Hi all, bit of a belated red ink review.
So about halfway through last season I reached out to John to make me a copy of a chase vortex as I really liked the shape and shorter blade. I asked for a G2 and sent him
Some photos, and a few weeks later I received a lovely looking G2 exactly what I was hoping for, in shape and pick up. Straight away I would say the rebound was superior to my chase. Fast forward to the end of season I got in touch with John again about a another copy but in x* Grade. John sent me a couple of options and I picked a beautiful looking cleft he put by for me until my birthday in December. I sent my x2 back to him for a clean up and copy of shape. So here are my two red inks for this season, the x*  is fuller and slightly bigger in the shoulders and spine but picks up amazing. Hats of to John for all his hard work. These really are some of the best bats I've used. X2 pads from the wife for Xmas.

I should've mentioned weights the x2 is 2'10.5 38/39mm edge, 60ish spine. I haven't weighed the x* but feels very similar in dead weight and looks slightly bigger on the spine and is definitely fuller.

Thanks for the orders and the review. Glad you are happy with everything.

I’m glad the courier was able to locate the bats as it would have been heartbreaking for these 2 stunners to have gone missing.

Enjoy using them this year!
