Australia finding it a lot harder away from home. Pak 245-1 at the end of day one and Lyon taking some tap

Turns out Cummins was too busy stabbing JL in the back to realise we are actually playing in Asia. What moron picks 4 seamers and a only one spinner. Especially when Lyon has been repeatedly battered by Pakistan. Good work Patty…

1 spinner probably was not the best plan and Pak batsmen were hitting Lyon clean.

Good batting and good 1st inning total by Pak.  I don't think pitch will assist Pak bowlers and AUS batsmen can pile their runs as well.

This is a problem for test cricket when people prepare pitches like this.

I just don't get it, Pakistan have just got test cricket back at home, and this is a huge series for them to have the Aussies in Pakistan and they prepare a pitch like this.

Unless it deteriorates remarkably or someone has an absolute shocker its going to a turgid draw.

If your playing at home they should be doing what everyone else does, use home advantage and prepare the pitch that's suits your game.

Highlights on Sky. They are showing India vs SL live or the Women's WC depending on what's on.

Someone agrees to tour and play in your country after ages and this is the kind of pitch you produce for a test match! Unbelievable! So boring! I cant get myself around to even watch the highlights!

The pitch could have gone the other way and been other in 2 days. Pitches in Pakistan used to last 90 overs before breaking up and becoming dust bowls I guess they just over engineered things.

An average of 2.5 wickets taken per day of cricket. This is not the kind of test cricket that people want to see!!

Genuinely one of the most pointless matches in recent years…total back breaker for the bowlers.
I’d rather we get dust bowls than this garbage.

what a waste of 5 days that was, feels like that was the aim all along though. possibly to tire out the aussie bowlers for the second test, not much of an advert for test cricket in any sense.

Agree with all the comments but nice to see the Aussies in the field all day for 250 runs and not a wicket to be seen, Pakistan top 5 looks as good as anyones in world cricket, I know that was a road of roads but let’s see what the wickets and games are like after a few series before we condem the pitch.
