Cricket Bat Maintenance Tools Required
« on: May 23, 2022, 04:33:36 PM »

Our British born Australian 1st XI player has an old New Balance TC1260 where the shoulders and handle are damaged; he wants to use it as a shorten bat for fielding drills with a couple of inches taken off above the toe then the handle removed and remove the section of the bat where the original splice was and insert a new handle; I believe that this can be done but this whole process is new to me and it would be good practice for me if I want to advance my skills in cricket bat manufacturing and maintenance.  Would you be able to advise where I could get the tools (I should be able to source a handle and my father has a band saw) needed to carrying out these sort of works.
