Paid £155 for these pads two months ago.

I am very disappointed at how poor the quality appears to be. Stitching coming away from the inside leaving foam exposed and the PU on the front of the pad wearing through and padding starting to come out.

I have always used top level pads and have never had an issue like this before!

Not unreasonable to expect them to last a bit longer than this is it?

That's pretty poor, have you contacted them to request repair/refund/replace?

Had a similar issue a couple of years ago with Newbery SPS pads and gloves.  Send both back for a refund. A lesson in paying to a brand trading of past reputation

Agree with the above comments, would be requesting a replacement set after two months.

That is a very expensive pair of pads indeed.

Emailed them at the weekend, got a phone call, fella agreed it was very disappointing and would give me a call back next day, all good so far!

However, never received a call back so I rang them today, basically they want me to send them back so they can be looked at and repaired. They couldn't give me a definite time frame for this but they would be at least a week, obviously not ideal given it's the middle of the season and I'm not sure how on earth they could repair them, to be honest I'm not sure a repair would be good enough! They also told me I would have to pay for the shipping, this means these pads will have cost me about a £170 in total!

To say I'm not happy is an understatement, especially after paying £100 for the matching gloves too!

I have emailed them saying I would like a full refund, will see what response I get.

There are quite a few of us on here who had M and H bats a few years ago and now would not touch them with a barge pole due to various reasons.

As far as I know, all softs are now made in India or Pakistan and imported, so with slight differences to UK companies they are made in pretty much the same place.

I would guess the mark up is considerable, enough to replace a top of the range pair of pads for the reputation of the brand.

Clearly not in this case. I would hold out for replacement or refund myself. Good luck.

Would love to know how or what makes these £155 pads vs all other pads that are identical and half the price. I’m afraid yet again poor feedback about M&H service or product.

£255 for softs bundle is mind blowing

I'd be asking for a replacement set to be sent out if you return them, at the price paid you could have had a pair of pads and gloves for £155 off the majority of brands on here which probably use the same manufacturer anyway.

Agree with Tom here. Two months in there's no question these should be replaced imo. Obviously you're to some extent reliant on the manufacturer in terms of issues like this and they will happen. So for me, when it happens it's down to me as a brand to sort it with the customer first to a satisfactory conclusion. Its then up to me to sort it with the manufacturer if i see fit, but the customer shouldn't have to wait until i do this.

Or else your brand will get a bad reputation.

Thanks for the responses!

Wore the pads last Saturday and even more padding has come out so I’ve bitten the bullet and sending them back.

They said they will look to repair the pads and if they can’t they will replace them. After this experience I can’t say I want another set of their pads. Can I insist on a refund rather than replacement?

Had a pair of pads I'd sold a few months ago and the stitching along the strap had come loose. Customer asked what could be done, i just replaced them FOC and took his pads back. Maybe I'm too lenient, but i want people to be happy and not have to haggle if there's an issue. 3 - 6 months, a year later etc is different, but a month or two in really isn't an argument imo

Suspect this attitude is why so many are happy to come back to you repeatedly Jonny, customer service is just a different planet to the big boys.
