I've got one.

Its the 5 Star version and it is very nice. Excellent pressing.

I can't be bothered to try and upload the photo's as it's a bit of a nightmare.

I liked the one I bought so much...I ordered another one.

Thanks

I also have one (mostly used by younger son) and agree with all of the above from JT

Same grade

Will be buying another as well

Full profile. Very well pressed.

I’m sure I’ve loaded pics and more details elsewhere on here

I've got a Orca LE, amazing bat. Very well pressed. Not the softest out of the packet but have used it for half a season now and its starting to open up.

I bought from a retailer, didn't get the nicest bit of wood for the money but performance wise was well worthy of the grade. I'm in the middle of refurbing mine at the mo I'll upload some pics when done.

I also have Orca LE. I bought it from a friend after he used it a bit. Very good bat with amazing pick up and feel. I might be ordering one more very soon.

Be good to know width front and back from the guys who have one

Seems from what the little I know ppl have not reported issues but keen to hear more

From what I have seen they can come full profile

The roar at 695 seems over priced but seems a great bat

I don't recall many issues with width, but have heard some have been narrowed. Thing is some folks are ridiculous in what they request from batmakers - as if they can magically conjure up low density willow to make the profiles people like. Narrowing is an issue to be solved on both the consumer and manufacturer level IMO. Problem is Brand X will start narrowing to meet consumer demands, and Brand Y will have to compete somehow with that. All ends up happening across the board.

I mean you clearly are somewhat tempted - go buy one and review it for us. 😂 I say that as a jest, but I mean it - it is what I often end up doing.

700 is a lot to shell out on a bat. I've got far more bats than the vast majority of the cricket playing population - there's so much being etc. The one thing I can't get enough of is good honest craftsmanship and seeing the love behind making the bats.

I love a big gauge filling bat as much as the next fella, but not at the detriment of the actual art of making a bat look pleasing. The way the maker has deemed fit to select and manipulate the raw materials to a tool which brings joy to many, seeing the flowing arc of the spine, the blending of the profile and trying to figure out what kind of philosophy is applied by the batmaker. Seeing their trademarks and appreciating them for what they are. List goes on - that's kind of why I'm still here after a decade

😂 Fair point @Chad. @Thamesvalley Mike at WCW makes a lovely bat. If you can't get to visit, go to a store who stocks them. That way you can tell if you like them for yourself. If you can't do that, then you pays yer money as they say.

The thing with a review is that it's an opinion. Sure you'll get a sense of performance etc, but then people's expectations and feel differ. What is a great pick up to one person, may feel completely different to another.

What i would say is if you've seen people saying the lower Grade bats are good, then that should give you confidence. Whether you then feel it's viable to spend another 400 quid to get nice grains and potentially a bigger bat at lightweight, is completely down to you i suppose.

very keen to try one of these soon - from the ones I have seen up close they have been very good and peoples who's opinions trust who own one - they have all raved about them.

Was available this morning

Seems a good one big bat but seemed to be available for a while

Did anyone buy it from here as if they did maybe they can review it ?

Guessing from Chad previous message, unlikely to be the buyer.

Was a stunning profile

If the h4l took a while to sell partly because of a squeeze on incomes maybe ? The £695 roar likely has a smaller market
