Adidas Teamwear
« on: October 03, 2022, 04:43:42 PM »

I have been informed that Adidas are pulling out of the cricket teamwear market; is this correct?

What does that mean for club's that have Adidas as their kit supplier?

They'll be open to offers from Warsop?

My own club kit and teamwear has been supplied by Warsop (which consists of short and long sleeve playing shirts, playing trousers, fleece lined and knitted style slipovers, baggy cap, baseball cap, beanie, gilet, bucket hat, hoodie, jacket, kit bag, shorts, polo shirt, pom pom hat, snapback, sun hat and tracksuit bottoms) with the club badge embroidered onto each of the items along with my initials on a few of them and they even personalised my Warsop Platinum Pro Duffle Bag with the club badge and my initials.

I am not keen on Adidas (I prefer Nike as my spiked trainers are Nike) along with the supplier All Rounder Cricket with their prices, turnaround and delivery.

I have been in contact with Fenton Sports and Serious Cricket; along with Shrey being in contact.

The only problem is that a lot of senior players at the club already have the majority of the club's Adidas kit and teamwear, therefore are reluctant to buy whole new kit and teamwear. It would be nice for both the adults and colts to have the same kit/teamwear manufacturer. As Adidas are actually pulling out of the cricket kit/teamwear market, what does that mean with our current supplier?

However, our colts section used an alternative supplier for last season for their kit (only) due to costs but they were let down by their supplier and were not happy with the quality.

Looks perfectly functional. But doesn't really answer the question.

The majority of the teamwear is unbranded but Warsop have embroidered their logo onto the majority of their items.

In answer to your question; "Why does club teamwear need to be branded?", it does not have to be, it is down to the preference of the club and the players I would guess, based on the responses I got from my fellow club mates.

When I done a comparison between price between Warsop and All Rounder, there were saving about 50%.

Our previous kit supplier used Adidas.  The playing kit was excellent so they will be a loss to the market.

We currently have a Club Shop directly with Shrey. As with any supplier, there are good sides and bad sides to working with them

But Warsop are not paying the club or player. They are being paid to supply the kit!
