Well I'm all about performance so all's good, its a very very different profile which I'm guessing would need to be picked up to see exactly what its like. I'm not one to comment on something unless I've tried it out as I'm not sure you can comment unless you have but that's only my own opinion. Wouldn't mind trying one out but i wouldn't spend that type of money now on a bat no matter how much i wanted to see what it was like.

I was also apprehensive about it. It is the oddest shape I have ever bought. I took a bit of a punt in that I had never picked anything like that but very happy with it. I am in a phase where I'd like to experiment a bit after having spent years with more or less the same profile.
Personally, my last frontier would be the Mongoose or the Joker. Still not mentally prepared for shorter bats.

Norbs - It does look like a concaved Retro with a higher spine and a bit more bow probably?

Looking at your rather fine collection i do see a space for a Joker, adding a t20 bat to that collection finishes it off rater well and a t20 bat is a must for any young cricketer or old for that matter.

You'll have to tell me about your real life experience out in the middle with the Joker this season. And I'll have to try at some time to see the real benefits of it

Maybe for next year. No more bat vacancies now...

Not trying to be a pedant but isn't the Newbery Uzi SPS that you already have (both) a shorter (and originally specifically Twenty20) bat?

The Newbery is stickered as an Uzi but its actually a standard blade length in Sachin profile.

In that case, I humbly apologise and would like to know how you got the stickers. I have 2 Newberys and I have emailed what I thought was the correct address about getting replacement stickers and have had no reply. What address/number did you email/call or did you get them through another route?

I've got to say, the BDM intrigues me. What's the profile like, and what was the value that you placed on it, that you were glad was not exceeded?

I got the bat from Mike way back in 2008, when Tim K's Sachin profiles were the hottest thing (as they are even today).  And he was kind enough to sticker them as Uzi. The B52 had not arrived on the scene then otherwise I would probably have gone for those.

Re the BDM, its a Dynamic Power Plus. I took off all the flash stickers recently to give it a cleaner look. I think the price was £110 or £120. Will have to look in my past posts. To be honest I hadn't really tapped it until then and was in a mad frenzy to sell stuff. But when it failed to sell I used it in the nets and was really glad.
