And I will tell you my ideas run as a hobby not as a buisness.
I would offer a valued customer incentive were if you buy a bat and want another there would be a discount on your next bat. No point in spouting it off though till the bats are made and ready to go then I will discuss more.

will be a challenge to create interest as there are so many existing quality brands, my suggestion would be to make your ideas cutting edge and different or else i think you will struggle

Sounds good mate, not sure it has to be cutting edge, if  its cheaper than much thats around and still at just as high quality you should be fine, look at solitare for instance! And you'll probably be able to do light bats!!

Wood will be from Kent and handles fitted and the bats will be pressed and shaped in Yorkshire

Not realy have to get anybody to buy these as I would be in compitition with nobody as it would be a hobby and I sure I could knock out 10-20 bats to just people I play with.    The truth is the price would be the flagship with the quality

Id imagine selling 10-20 bats cheaply isnt going to cause major headaches for most brands - you dont see them complaining when roger sells handmade grade 1's for £100. Anyway , what designs have you come up with for the stickers or are they going to be sold blank?

Nno got a designer to do them but think there going to be made in Andover but I know they have a set limit on the number of sets.
There will be no radical designs in bats design and at the minute have not made my mind up on total custom or just a shape made by my batmaker.    I should be able to produce a couple for inspection in the next 2 months one is going to petehosk to try out.  But like I said it will be very small time and no soft are planned at all.  Maybe in 11 years when I retire at 42 more could be done but not looking at a buisness plan it just I have got so much out of cricket I willing to put something back in.

Mike like I expected I will not be revealing my sources like you I will keep it inhouse but I expected you to ask all this.   Wait and see I expect to be a little unpopular with a few my prices are the best thing but just wait and see
