First game today good win for the boys and 57 not out for me chasing 200 to win.

Top scored and felt really good so happy with the start to the season as I am normally a slow starter.

First game today...
The whole opposition crowded around me looking at my helmet when I came to the crease!

Hit a quick 28 then went for a suicidal run!

Picked up a wicket though... went for a bout 50 off 9 overs mind you!

First game today, had a good start to the morning when I didn't receive the spikes from Mike (courtesy of the Royal mail, again.) Anyway batting in trainers on a bit of slow, green wicket came in at 3 and made 33 off 22 balls, with 7 fours. Good start, until I over balanced off the seamer and was stumped down the legside. Fielding wise, I then proceeded to take a nice catch at gully in the 4th over and bowl some tidy off spin, 3-1-11-0, not bad considering I was bowling to the short boundary. Very pleased, and a big local derby next week, can't wait!

Had my first outdoor game today... scored 7. Not going to say I was undone by the best ball in the world, but purely through the lack of cricket training and concentration. Although I havent had much practice, I feel this is no excuse. I simply played around a straight one. Didn't middle one throughout the innings, but there is always tomorrow.

Had a second chance innings, and used a Mongoose Super Premium (The Hayden one) and that was certainly a good experience. I know where my money will be going once I get some!

got a game lined-up for definate on 25th, then a possible 1st team game on the 24th for our 1sts. i got picked for the same fixture last year, but nothings for sure that i will play.

gutted that i'm not playing this weekend, but its our club race night tommorrow night so half the team will be pissed up anyway!

LOL thats the story with me, we had a night at the dogs tonight, just back (lost 30 quid ;'( ) and like the whole 1st team went and I'm in a squad of 13 so I'm sure one or twp a;arms won't go off, it's only a friendly... but if it doesn't it will be 50 (No Swearing Please) overs of fielding :'( Still good experience though.... off to bed now just in case!

One of the lads won 11hundred!! So hopefully he'll be buying the lads pints alllll night! :) :L

Got my first game today, it's the 1s practice match so I dint expect to do much as Iam normally a 2s man. Oh well there are worst days to be standing fielding!
