Nice Mr C I love an old school village cricket ground
Here is a pic of my village ground where I play on a Sunday (Headley) from last summer - just found it on my phone (as being inspected by my then pregnant wife!)

I thought i would ressurect this topic as finally their has been some sun on our new ground to get some good looking pictures. The ground and pavilion were finished this season after a long wait and years of fundraising to get away from playing on a council owned ground.

Yep, some of these are stunning. I'll get some pictures up of Radley CC later but as much as we gain from having the pitches and facilities i'd love a ground like the one Roco plays at. Something nice about these places, tucked away in the countryside.... superb!

Always love playing at Headley, Fond memories of a ball being dispatched into the bacon sandwich van across the road  :)

Played at Tenterden CC last week, very very nice ground, I'm sure Matt at H4L would agree with me.

I am from Essex and play for Woodford Green C.C. It is known as 'possibly'the oldest running cricket club in the U.K to still be playing at it's original ground - since 1735! If it is the oldest in the UK then it could very well be the oldest in the world too..

A nice little honour :)

Here is a few shots of our 277 year old playing deck on a good day..

these 2 grounds are where i play friendly cricket at....

Bridgetown CC (West Somerset)- Won the Daily Mail Prettiest Ground Competition in the whole country in 2008. Is also Ian Bothams favourite ground. Thatched pavillion, river running down the side with a wooden bridge over to the ground. Nice views all around, perfect!

Timberscombe CC (West Somerset)- I'm vice captain for the friendly side here, in my opinion its not as nice as Bridgetown but still a very nice ground! Really good views all around, the website doesn't have the best pics but you get the idea :D

let me know what you think

Don't think Minehead is up there then Bucha?
