New Kit
« on: September 18, 2008, 07:07:40 PM »

Bats, GT + B52 Bomber

Gloves, GT + SPS1's have a green and black camouflage insert which works in my opinion. SPS2's are all white and very classy.

Pads, GT + SPS1 + SPS2

All kit top quality as per expectations.

Is this the UK stuff?

Would rather they didn't differ from their current stuff tbh, see them as more of a classy brand, but GT and B52 don't sound very good.

At the moment they will replace the name only in the current labels. They do look classy, the GT softs will be all white with silver trim.

Sounds like the names of fighter planes to me.

Which models are being discontinued if any? Any more info on the profiles of the bats?

Not sure, GT is a replacement for the Zeus I think. B52 is the shape used by Sachin.

Thanks Mike for the info.

Quite racy names and they sound pretty cool, will probably suit both traditionalists and those who like something a bit different. The Newbery kit is the gear I'm most excited about out of the main brands.

The B52 Bomber is similar to the model made for pro's called the bomber without ever being labeled. Obviously as it is the Sachin model it will not appeal to as it is an Indian shape.

It will appeal to me :)

The anticipation of him emerging from the pavilion, and his walk from the boundary to the centre, is almost surreal. The sound of a passionate Indian crowd all chanting "Sachin, Sachin" as they wait in anticipation, followed by the enormous roar when he emerges onto the field, is electrifying.
