I would love to try and prove myself wrong, if i was likely to bowl!! I could take 5 catches though.

I'm going to make you my prize sunday wicket if you play us later in season!!!

During the super eights stage of the T20 World Cup in Barbados Pollard had about 5-6 bats.... they were all virtually the same in terms of grains. I had the opportunity to pick up one and it was surprisingly light for what i recently found out was 2.10lb... Ask me anything you want about anyone's bats from the WI, SL or NZ and ill be able to tell you as long as I can remember clearly

Chris Gayle has the most horrible, heavy and unwieldy pieces of timber I've seen from a pro.

Do the bat companies have to supply the pros with bats foc as well as pay them to use them?

Uhmm interesting. Someone once said on this forum that Gayle uses actual Inferno 950 bat. Not sure how precise that is but yesterday or a day before that some on this fourm also said before T20 Newbery had Gayle bats made. So am confused about it. But I personally think it will be most likely be Newbery.

I also think Mahela Jayawardene uses Newbery as well. It looks Thruxton to me as toe seemed a bit diamondish and seems to have a high middle etc.

Yes, each player has an account with the company. £2-3000 a yr of kit (RRP) is about standard.

That sum is given to them to buy kit?

No, they're given an account with x amount of credit on it. The value they have to spend is stipulated by their contract.

They are then given money on top to endorse the equipment, that figure varies from £0 (county bowlers etc) to Millions (Dhoni)

Ah right fair enough...as u can tell we haven't had to deal with such demands as yet! As a small company forking out for people to endorse stuff was something we wanted to avoid

Wow they make alot from the sponsors as well. I thought the max they would make would be 1000 pounds (lol) and thats for international players.

Imagine if they run out of the credit on there account and they need anything do they have to pay for that from there own pocket?

Thanks mate
