BAT 25 - Chase Finback 175Where do I start with this bat?
Ok....it weighs in at just over 2'10 with 2 grips, scuff sheet plus the very nice lebels.
Also this bat has a long blade (2 cm longer) and long handle (around 1 cm longer). But being 6'3 it wasn't a problem.
Hold on.....2'10 with all the extras on and long blade
and long handle too? Oh dear! That won't leave alot of willow for the edges and for the middle! If you're thinking that, the you couldn't be further from the truth!
How does 35mm+ edges with a gorgeous pick up and a blade that the mallet and ball ping off like a trampoline sound?
Too good to be true...but this beautifully sculpted and perfectly finised bat was made for a certain Graeme Hick! And we are almost the same age, the same height, the same athletic and fit stocky physiques, we are both known as Mr. H, and first class average of over 50!
Ok, ok....maybe my average is considerably lower than his, but maybe this bat will help it increase!!
I've just started to knock this bat in, but I'll be phoning Chase tomorrow as I need to ask if it's been knocked in already due to the blade responding so well. During Winter nets I'll be picking 4 or 5 of my top bats to do full reviews on....and this will definitely be one of them. This is my first ever experience of Chase bats and it's been a very positive one! I realise that this amazing bat is not a standard Chase bat. BUT if the normal ones are even half as good as this bat is, then it will be a blinder! Plus this does show a certain amount of skill and ability. Good job!
As per normal, pics to follow.....
